Friendly Visiting volunteers provide companionship and support to help seniors and adults with disabilities retain their independence. This program is intended to help individuals maintain social interaction with the community and alleviate isolation.
How It Works
Carefully screened and trained volunteers are matched up with clients based on similar interests and personalities. All volunteers must go through a police screening process, medical check, as well as reference checks and interviews. Volunteers provide a personal, continuous one-on-one relationship with clients at their residence and may perform tasks such as reading, playing games, and writing.
