Volunteers deliver over 80,000 hot and frozen meals every year to homebound seniors in Scarborough. The increased sense of safety and connection this gives to homebound individuals can be as important as the meal itself.
Volunteer drivers arrive at our meal sites late morning and deliver meals to client homes over the 11:30 to 1:30pm period. Some volunteers come as couples or other family combinations and one drives, while the other takes the meal to the client.
